We have been taking part in the Green at Heart Scheme since it was initiated, over 10 years ago.  With fantastic guidance on sustainable procedures within our business and an extremely thorough annual audit we have been able to progress our green credentials and have a greater understanding of all areas of our business.  Laura has helped us focus on areas that we had never considered and provided unlimited advice on future planning.

Becoming a sustainably driven business has helped us make savings in many cost areas including energy, water, food procurement and laundry.  We have saved £1000’s over that last 10 years by simply thinking about how to run the Hotel in a more environmentally conscious way.
The Green at Heart Scheme has also helped us gaining a national grading with the Green Tourism Business Scheme and winning a Hotel Catey Award for Sustainability in 2018.

Being awarded the Green at Heart Silver award has had a huge impact and has been an amazing asset to our social enterprise.

With Laura’s generous and skilful guidance we were able to turn our environmental ethos and rough framework into a comprehensive set of accomplishments and achievable goals that could inform our decision making process and help track our progress.
